If you have a difficult shape to fit, I welcome you, I have not met anyone yet that I have not been able to fit. I have carefully searched for the best and strongest bustling techniques so that right down to the last dance your dress will not be a distraction from your special day. Fittings are by appointment and held at Cynthia's Bridal Emporium in Rush City, MN. They have a beautiful bridal studio and very good prices. I am happy to work with Kathy and Becki; they will go above and beyond to help you with your formal wear needs. If you are shopping for a dress, I strongly urge you to check out their shop you won't find better service or prices.

"Nearly one and a half years ago, we at Cynthia's Bridal Emporium unexpectedly found ourselves without a seamstress and many weddings booked in the up coming months. Just starting out ourselves, we were desperate to fully satisfy our customers and contacted the lovely ladies at 'The Red Thread'. Wende and her colleagues jumped in with both feet and helped us out when we really needed it and she has been our 'alterations lady' ever since. During the time we have worked together, we have seen Wende do basic alterations such as taking in and letting out side seams and hems. We have also seen her do amazing things like rushing to the shop, fitting a gown, completing alterations, designing and making a matching cape --- all in less than 24 hours! She has also put lace-up backs into both prom and wedding gowns and designed a suspended bustle, just to name a few. We feel fortunate and very happy to have Wende working with us and our customers."

Policies & Procedures
For wedding gowns, I request that your first appointment be 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date. Expect at least 3 fittings. For bridesmaid gowns, and all others, I request 4-6 weeks before the wedding date. Expect at least 2 fittings.
Foundation garments and shoes (correct heel height or shop sample shoe may be used) are required for all fittings. Sorry no exceptions. Undergarments can and will change a figure shape and are essential for a proper fit.
24 hour cancellation notice is appreciated.
Appointments scheduled 10 days or less before the occasion will be charged a $25 service fee. Rush service will be at my discretion and time availability. I will gladly do my best to accommodate everyone, and make your time with us enjoyable and stress free.
Once a dress leaves the shop, work is considered finished. Additional alterations will be charged accordingly.
Pricing
Most people want to know how much it will cost. And most Alterationists will not give you a quote with out seeing the gown and what it entails. The reason is that not all gowns are created equally. I believe I charge a fair and honest price for my time and experience. It is very important that I see your dress before I can give you any official estimates.
